About the 2019 grand tour
Building on the overwhelming success of our 2018 Grand Tour, 40 cyclists will embark on a challenging 10-day, 1818-kilometre bike ride throughout Victoria between 6th to the 15th March 2019.
Beginning at Marvel Stadium, the event will pass through some of the state’s most picturesque towns and communities including Kinglake, Nagambie, Euroa, Benalla, Mansfield, Wangaratta, Myrtleford, Bright, Mount Beauty, Falls Creek, Beechworth, Albury, Kyabram, Shepparton, Echuca, Bendigo, Maryborough, Ballarat, Seymour and Yea before arriving back at Toyota Southern Region Office, 2 Fennel Street Port Melbourne
The purpose of the Grand Tour is to honour the lives tragically lost to suicide in 2017, to bring much needed attention to the issue of suicide and the devastation it continues to cause families and communities across the country and to significantly amplify the suicide prevention conversation.
The Grand Tour is also a life changing opportunity for riders and support staff who will experience the value and benefit of having authentic and genuine conversations within a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environments.
All of our participants will benefit from an increased understanding and awareness of mental health and suicide prevention, develop strategies & tools to maintain their emotional wellbeing and have the skills and confidence to be able to support another person living with a mental health condition.
